Midgeberriez

This is "Midge" (short for "Smidge" or "Midget"), our Russian dwarf hamster. She's eating her favorite food in the world, a blueberry!

Neither of us have had a Russian dwarf previous to this, so we didn't know what to expect. She was tiniest lil thing when we first got her, so we had to lower the running wheel and install toilet-paper tubes to help her access the upper level of her cage. We were surprised when a month later she had grown to a little over half the size of a "common" hamster.

When drawing this, she kept crawling all over my tablet and my arm. lol We've tried taking photos of her but she's so fast that the picture blurs. So I had to try my best to look at her as a reference while she sped around our couch and climbed all over the place. LOL

Her feet, paws, ears, nose, throat, and tail tip are white. Oddly enough, she is colored almost exactly the same as our cat, Sugar! When we put the hamster on the cats back, Midge camouflages into Sug's fur. xD
