Description

If you dont recognise him, it's Buster Keaton. i was messing with SheezyArt's new Oekaki program (Oekaki BBS). I loved how their smudge tool left a real painting effect. I think the unnecessary facial colors make it look moody. Since Busters character is known for showing no emotions, the colors represent emotions for him (red=anger, green=jealousy, blue=sadness, orange=joy).. including the little washed out sky-blue tear. This was fun, i may do more Oekakis of other people.

EDIT: I used "Contrast" and the "burn" tool on areas. hopefully it makes it clearer to you. meh.

OMFG

Hum, I'm sorry if you did get what I was saying.
I actually like the piece. I think it has a lot of artistic qualities.

BUT
All I was refering to was the fact that it is blurry. Don't you find it blurry a bit? it doesn't take anything away from the original...These are technicalities that can be remedied pretty easily once you know.

I know it is supposed to look like acrylic. I'm just saying: try it! You might like it! It's a different media and it doesn't feel the same as a computer, and you may have some abilities as we can see here

Now, about the blurry-ness.
this can be caused by different things. You mentioned that you used the 'smudge' tool. I know that when the tools like 'smudge' and blur tools are use EXTENSIVELY over the whole surface of a piece, it can make it appear blurry as a result. This is one possibility.

Second possibility maybe that you resampled your image to make it biggerr than the original. The program that yo used applied interpolation to create a larger image. This process often cause an image to look blurry if the resampling is extensive.

note look up interpolation and resampling on the net if that sounds like jabber wokky to you.

hope this helps!
